Yu.eat has now surpassed 60 digital restaurants in the Belgium

The fast-growing Belgian start-up is skyrocketing across Europe. Founded one year ago in Belgium, Yu.eat has now convinced 250 restaurants to adopt its digital Asian brands.

The COVID-19 pandemic and societal changes have accelerated the development of home meal delivery platforms. This market, worth 23 billion euros in Europe by 2023, is driven by the phenomenon of virtual kitchens (or « dark kitchens »). Last June, the start-up raised 2 million euros from business angels and Wapinvest to rapidly become the European leader in Asian virtual kitchens.

Led by Yifeng YU and Yishen YU, Yu.eat has already conquered 250 cities in Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, and other European countries through more than 350 virtual restaurants, and expansion is still in its early stages.

Yu.eat provides high-quality, affordable Asian dishes delivered to your door or for pick-up at one of its outlets. Yu.eat currently offers its partners 2 Food Brands: Chifuri for traditional Chinese cuisine and Incheon for Korean-inspired dishes (fried chicken tenders). Other brands, again Asian, may be launched shortly.

Yu.eat provides its partner-cooks with training, marketing support and its technological suite. Recipes are simple and tried-and-tested – the Yu family has been in the Asian restaurant business for over 25 years – while ingredients are sourced from exclusive suppliers.

Yu.eat intends to be the European leader in Asian virtual restaurants by operating an asset-light model based on the kitchens of existing restaurants, with partners eager to boost their revenue thanks to online ordering.

« A real revolution has been shaking up the restaurant sector for years, and even if most of our development will be located in the major urban centers where delivery platforms are established, our multifaceted model is also finding outlets for less urbanized areas. Our physical restaurant partners can draw on our experience and quality recipes to make the most of their kitchens and existing click-and-collect and home delivery services », concludes Yifeng Yu.
